General
Roving Handyman charges mobile labor fees per hour to ensure you
get what you pay for. Most dealerships and service centers charge
a "flat fee" which sets a standard number of hours or minutes to
complete the task. If the service is completed in 10 minutes, and
the standard rate is 2 hours, you pay the technician for 2 hours!
At Roving Handyman, we feel this incents the technician to rush
the work and "beat the clock", which clearly shows in the poor
quality of work that is commonplace today. At Roving Handyman, you
will receive a certified technician who is focused on the task at
hand, and who completes it expediently, yet with quality in mind.
Your RV is a big investment, and it (and you) deserve a service
done right the first time. For older RVs with heavy corrosion,
multiple owners, or unknown DIY work, it is important to note that
stuck fasteners, non-standard wiring, and custom installations may
affect the time it takes to perform a quality service.
Estimates
Appointment times are estimates and may be impacted by prior
calls. Estimates are based on average times to perform a given
service, and actual time and materials will be invoiced. All RVs
are different, and manufacturer defects, corrosion, owners'
alterations, and other circumstances may alter the amount of time
and/or materials to complete a given service. Roving Handyman is
not responsible for damage caused by age, embrittlement, or wear
during normal service or repair procedures.
Payment
All amounts are due on receipt and payment is due at the time of
service call completion, with a late fee of 1.5% each month
payment is overdue, plus all reasonable expenses incurred in the
event of collection or legal action as permitted by law. Payment
is approval of all services performed. Credit card statements may
show charge as "Foggy Bottom Group". Customer consents to contact
by phone, email, and text for service, collection, and periodic
reminders.
Warranty
Customer agrees to be responsible for all charges regardless of
warranty coverage. In the event customer wishes to bill a warranty
company we will make a reasonable effort to provide a detailed
invoice & photos, as well as speaking to the warranty company if
necessary, while we are on site at the time of the appointment. We
do not accept 3rd party billing unless paid at the time of the
appointment. Each customer is responsible for their balance, at
the time of their scheduled appointment, once work has been
completed. Each customer is responsible for understanding the
terms and conditions of their warranty contract, what is covered,
and what will be reimbursed to them.
Service Call Fees
Service calls incur a $125 dispatch fee, plus $125 per hour
standard labor ($250 per hour nights and weekend) per technician
(1 hour minimum, .25 increments), within 25 miles, with additional
miles at $2.25 per mile one way.
Cancellations and No Shows
The Dispatch Fee covers our time & travel to you for the initial
concern. Should you need to reschedule your appointment, please
provide at least 24 hours notice, and your Dispatch Fee will be
transferred to your new appointment time. If customer identifies
additional concerns that require additional trips, a new Dispatch
Fee will be charged per trip. In an effort to keep our service
availability open, we may not confirm appointments until Dispatch
Fee invoices are paid. Upon full payment of this invoice, you will
be scheduled for a specific date and time. In the event of a no
show, the Dispatch Fee is non-refundable.
Inventory
Please keep in mind we are a mobile service and cannot stock every
part that may be needed due to limited space. Depending on what
needs repair, parts may need to be ordered or sourced locally.
Time spent sourcing a part locally, at the time of your
appointment, will be billed at the applicable labor rate. In the
event of a needed parts order customer agrees to pay for all
special-order parts, and a follow up repair appointment could also
be necessary. Follow up appointments may require an additional
Dispatch Fee - if this is applicable, you will be notified at the
time of the first appointment.
Referrals
Roving Handyman reserves the right to implement and terminate a
Referral Program at its sole discretion. Referral partners are
parties whose name, address, phone number and payment information
is entered into Roving Handyman systems to aid in the collection
of referrals and payment of Referral Fees. Roving Handyman will
assign referrers a Referral Code and will pay a Referral Fee for
each service call which results solely from a referral, and which
is paid in full. Referral fees will be compensated after complete
payment of the invoice(s) associated with the related service
call.
